How to Choose a 4500W Electric Dirt Bike: G18 Pro vs X1 Spark L Power, Range, and Size Comparison

If you are looking for a 4500W electric dirt bike that balances power, range, and off-road features, the HappyRun G18 Pro and Qronge X1 Spark L may both be on your shortlist.

Although both models have the same peak power, they have different product positioning. The G18 Pro features a larger battery and wheel setup for adult riders and longer-distance riding, while the X1 Spark L has more compact proportions and places greater emphasis on torque, speed, and fit for growing riders. When choosing between them, consider rider height, common terrain, range needs, and preferred power response.

Why Do Two 4500W Models Have Different Speeds and Torque?

The 4500W figure indicates that both models have the same peak motor power, but peak power alone does not determine top speed, torque, or actual performance. Controller settings, drive configuration, drivetrain, wheel size, and overall bike weight all affect power delivery and riding feel.

The G18 Pro uses a hub-drive system, with the motor integrated directly into the rear wheel so power is applied to the wheel without passing through an additional transmission system. It offers five speed levels and reaches a top speed of 38 MPH, allowing riders to adjust speed gradually based on riding conditions and control experience.

The X1 Spark L uses a mid-drive system, with the motor positioned in the center of the bike and power transferred to the rear wheel through the drivetrain. It features ECO, Sport, and Turbo modes, allowing riders to switch between range, power response, and peak performance. Turbo mode reaches a top speed of 50 MPH.

Hub motors and mid-drive motors transfer power differently, and manufacturers may use different measurement points and testing conditions when listing torque. Therefore, the 200 N·m and 283 N·m figures are better used as references for each model’s power setup rather than as the sole basis for judging the difference in actual performance.

When choosing a bike, consider torque together with the drive system, riding modes, overall weight, tire setup, and common terrain. This provides a clearer understanding of how the bike may perform in real riding conditions.

How to Choose a 60V Battery: Consider Capacity and Power Needs Together

Both models are 60V electric dirt bikes. The G18 Pro has a 60V 35Ah battery with a range of up to 75 miles, while the X1 Spark L has a 60V 28.8Ah battery with a range of up to 60 miles.

For longer riding routes or fewer charging stops, the G18 Pro’s larger battery capacity is worth considering. Its 35Ah battery and advertised range of 75 miles are more focused on long-distance outdoor riding.

The X1 Spark L delivers higher peak torque and speed on a 60V battery platform while managing energy use through three riding modes. ECO mode helps extend riding distance, Sport mode balances power and range, and Turbo mode delivers the bike’s peak performance.

Do not compare Ah ratings alone. For frequent long-distance riding, battery capacity can be the priority. For routes with hills or higher power-response demands, torque and riding modes should also be considered.

19"/17" vs. 17"/14": How Do Wheel Size and Seat Height Affect Rider Fit?

The G18 Pro uses a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, with a seat height of 33.1 inches and a recommended rider height of 5'3" to 6'5". This model is mainly designed for adult riders, and its larger wheels and frame size better match an adult riding position. Its 119 lb overall weight also makes it easier for users who need to load it into a vehicle or move equipment around a campsite.

The X1 Spark L uses a 17-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, with a minimum seat-to-ground height of 29 inches and a rider height range of 4'7" to 6'3". It sits between smaller models and full-size adult electric dirt bikes, offering 4500W peak power while maintaining compact proportions.

For younger riders who are already familiar with smaller electric dirt bikes and are ready for more power and larger wheels, the X1 Spark L, positioned as an electric dirt bike for teens, provides a more natural upgrade. Its 17"/14" wheel setup and lower seat height help balance control and ground clearance, while ECO, Sport, and Turbo modes can be changed gradually based on riding experience, route difficulty, and power needs.

How Do Full Suspension and Hydraulic Brakes Affect the Off-Road Experience?

Both the G18 Pro and X1 Spark L use front and rear suspension with hydraulic disc brakes, providing corresponding frame support and braking control on gravel roads, dirt roads, and uneven terrain.

The G18 Pro is equipped with a hydraulic front fork and rear spring shock, with a 180mm front brake rotor and a 203mm rear rotor. Its suspension and 19"/17" wheel setup form an off-road configuration designed around adult sizing.

The X1 Spark L features 150mm front suspension and 75mm rear suspension, with 200mm × 3mm hydraulic brake rotors at both the front and rear. Its 17"/14" wheel setup and compact frame place greater emphasis on agility across different routes.

The throttle designs also differ. The G18 Pro uses a half-twist throttle, while the X1 Spark L uses a full-twist throttle. Neither design is inherently better; the choice mainly depends on the rider’s habits and preferences for wrist movement and power control.

Who Are the G18 Pro and X1 Spark L Best For?

The G18 Pro is better suited to riders who prioritize a larger battery, longer range, lighter bike weight, and adult-size wheels. For taller riders, longer routes, and those who want to adjust power gradually through multiple speed levels, its overall configuration is more likely to match these needs.

The X1 Spark L is better suited to riders who prioritize peak torque, top speed, a lower seat height, and a compact wheel setup. For younger riders who are developing their off-road skills or users who prefer 17"/14" proportions, it offers a clearer growth-oriented riding position.

Choosing between the two is not about which model has more specifications, but which configuration better matches your height, experience, and common routes. Determining rider fit first, then comparing power and range, often makes it easier to choose the right model than focusing only on top speed.
