Aipas X3 Max vs Qronge X1 Spark L: Which Should You Buy?

As more high-performance electric dirt bikes enter the market, the Aipas X3 Max has become an option for riders looking for 17"/14" wheels, a 60V battery platform, and strong power performance. But there is another choice—the Qronge X1 Spark L. It also uses 17"/14" wheels and a 60V battery system, but differs in top speed, torque, range, and overall bike size.

This guide compares these two electric dirt bikes to help you understand their different performance priorities and what to consider when choosing the model that better fits your height, terrain, and riding style.

Why Can Two 17"/14" Electric Dirt Bikes Still Ride Differently?

On paper, the Aipas X3 Max and Qronge X1 Spark L have quite a few things in common.

Both bikes feature:

• 17" front and 14" rear wheels
• A 60V battery system
• ECO / Sport / Turbo riding modes
• Hydraulic brakes
• Front and rear off-road suspension
• A 350 lb maximum load capacity

However, the same wheel size and similar basic specifications do not mean the two bikes will deliver the same riding experience.

The real differences often come from top speed, torque, overall bike size, battery capacity, tire setup, and how these specifications work together. For example, two 17"/14" bikes may both be designed for off-road riding, but one may use a taller, larger platform, while the other places the same wheel size on a more compact frame.

So when comparing the Aipas X3 Max and Qronge X1 Spark L, the focus should not simply be on finding the biggest number on the spec sheet, but on which overall setup better matches your actual needs.

Power Performance: Look at the Full Picture, Not Just One Number

The Aipas X3 Max is equipped with a 6500W mid-drive motor, while the X1 Spark L has a peak motor output of 4500W. Looking at this figure alone, the X3 Max offers higher peak power.

However, when choosing a bike, peak motor power is only one part of the power system.

Looking at overall performance figures, the X3 Max has a top speed of 45 MPH and maximum torque of 260 Nm, while the X1 Spark L reaches 50 MPH and 283 Nm. In other words, the two bikes take different approaches to performance: the X3 Max emphasizes higher peak motor output, while the X1 Spark L lists a higher top speed and more torque.

For riders, this difference matters more than simply asking which bike has the bigger wattage number. Top speed determines the bike’s speed limit, while torque affects starting, re-acceleration, and power response under load. Actual off-road performance is also affected by the controller, drivetrain, tire traction, rider weight, and terrain, so overall performance cannot be judged by a single specification.

Range and Battery: Similar 60V Platforms, Different Range Limits

Both bikes use 60V batteries, but their capacities are slightly different.

The Aipas X3 Max uses a 60V 28Ah / 1680Wh battery with a maximum range of 55 miles, while the X1 Spark L uses a 60V 28.8Ah / 1728Wh battery with a maximum range of 60 miles.

The difference in battery capacity is not very large, but for riders who need longer riding distances, the maximum range is still worth considering.

Keep in mind that maximum range does not mean the same distance can be reached on every ride. Riding mode, average speed, frequent acceleration, rider weight, hills, road conditions, and ambient temperature can all affect actual range.

So, if your regular routes are longer, it is worth looking not only at battery capacity, but also at how each bike balances performance and range across different riding modes.

Rider Fit: Same 17"/14" Wheels, Different Frame Proportions

This may be one of the differences between the two bikes that has an even greater impact on the buying decision than the power figures.

The Aipas X3 Max has an overall length of 71", a 50" wheelbase, a minimum seat-to-ground height of 33", and a recommended rider height of approximately 5'1"–6'5". The X1 Spark L also uses 17"/14" wheels, but has an overall length of 65", a 45" wheelbase, a minimum seat-to-ground height of 29", and a recommended rider height range of 4'7"–6'3".

This means that although the two bikes are in the same wheel-size category, their frame proportions and rider fit are not exactly the same. For taller riders who prefer a longer bike and a higher riding position, the X3 Max is designed more in that direction. In comparison, the X1 Spark L uses more compact proportions and a lower 29" seat height, making it better suited to smaller riders or those who prefer a lower riding position while still keeping the 17"/14" wheel setup.

Tire Setup: Different Priorities for the Front and Rear

Although both bikes use 17"/14" wheels, their front and rear tire widths are different.

Aipas X3 Max

• Front: 17×3.0"
• Rear: 14×3.0"

Qronge X1 Spark L

• Front: 17×2.8"
• Rear: 14×3.5"

The Aipas X3 Max uses a wider front tire. When tread pattern, tire pressure, and other conditions are similar, a wider front tire can provide more front-end contact with the ground, helping improve stability and grip on loose surfaces, in ruts, or while turning.

The X1 Spark L places more width at the rear. A wider rear tire puts greater emphasis on drive-wheel traction and stability, helping transfer power to the ground more steadily during starts, acceleration, and on loose terrain. For a high-torque electric dirt bike, rear-wheel traction is also an important factor in how effectively that power can be used.

So while both bikes use the same 17"/14" wheel size, their tire setups reflect different priorities: the X3 Max places more emphasis on front-end support and stability, while the X1 Spark L puts more emphasis on rear-wheel traction and stability. Actual performance will also depend on tread pattern, tire pressure, road conditions, and suspension settings.

Riding Modes and Handling Setup: Adapting to Different Terrain

Both the Aipas X3 Max and X1 Spark L offer ECO, Sport, and Turbo riding modes, allowing riders to adjust power output based on the route and riding pace.

On smoother trails or when conserving range, ECO mode can provide a gentler power response. Sport mode is better suited to everyday off-road riding that balances speed and handling. On hills, loose terrain, or sections that require more immediate acceleration, riders can switch to Turbo mode as needed.

Both bikes are also equipped with hydraulic brakes and front and rear suspension. Hydraulic brakes help riders control slowing and stopping more steadily at different speeds, while the suspension helps absorb impacts from potholes, rocks, and repeated uneven terrain. For off-road riding, these features, along with the riding modes, directly affect control and riding comfort on more challenging surfaces.

Which One Better Fits Your Actual Riding Needs?

Choosing between the Aipas X3 Max and Qronge X1 Spark L ultimately depends on the kind of riding experience you value more. Both bikes use 17"/14" wheels, but they differ in overall size, power focus, and range, so they are not designed for exactly the same riders or riding situations.

Consider the Aipas X3 Max if you value:

• A larger bike and more open riding position: The X3 Max has a 71" overall length, 50" wheelbase, and 33" minimum seat height, making it better suited to taller riders or those who prefer a larger frame and higher riding position.
• Higher peak motor output: The 6500W peak mid-drive motor is one of the X3 Max’s standout performance features. If peak motor output is an important factor in your decision, it better fits that priority.
• A size range geared more toward taller riders: The recommended rider height is approximately 5'1"–6'5", giving taller riders who prefer a more open riding position a clearer fit.

Consider the Qronge X1 Spark L if your riding needs are closer to:

• More focus on speed and power response: If your routes include open trails, hills, or sections that require frequent acceleration, the X1 Spark L offers a listed top speed of 50 MPH and 283 Nm of torque, giving it stronger figures in both speed and torque.
• Longer-distance riding: A listed maximum range of 60 miles provides more room for longer trail exploration, outdoor rides, or extended riding while still using a 60V 28.8Ah battery platform.
• A more compact, lower-riding platform: With a 65" overall length, 45" wheelbase, and 29" minimum seat height, the X1 Spark L keeps a more compact frame while retaining the 17"/14" wheel setup, making it better suited to smaller riders or those who prefer a lower riding position.

The key is not which electric dirt bike is “better” in every category, but which one better matches your actual riding needs. The Aipas X3 Max puts more emphasis on higher peak motor output and a larger bike platform, while the Qronge X1 Spark L focuses more on the balance of speed, torque, range, and compact size. For riders who want both performance and rider fit in a 17"/14" platform, the X1 Spark L may be the better choice.
